Leadership Circle

Leadership Circle is MOCA’s annual giving group for our most engaged donors. Donors’ contributions generously support all areas of the museum’s endeavors, from groundbreaking contemporary art exhibitions to our award-winning education initiatives and programs. Leadership Circle donors enjoy special access to the museum year-round as well as other exclusive privileges, including exhibition previews, curator-led walkthroughs, private receptions to MOCA events, and much more.

Acquisitions Groups

MOCA has three acquisitions groups, Acquisition and Collection Committee, Emerging Art Fund, and Drawings and Photography Committee, for those individuals interested in taking an active role in fostering the growth of our world-renowned permanent collection.  Members make a lasting impact on MOCA’s legacy by raising funds for acquisitions while hearing from the director and curators about artists that are a priority for presentation and collection by the museum. In addition to acquisitions meetings, programs include studio and private collection visits, and annual acquisitions groups celebration with MOCA’s executive leadership. In order to be eligible to participate, all members also support MOCA as Leadership Circle donors.

For more information on the different ways to get involved through MOCA’s acquisitions groups, please contact Christopher Mangum-James, cmangumjames@moca.org.

Program Support

Supporting MOCA’s award-winning exhibitions and educational programs offers individuals opportunities to get more deeply involved in furthering the museum’s mission to present and share the artists of our time with the widest possible audiences here in Los Angeles and beyond.

For more information on opportunities to support MOCA’s programs, please contact Angela Yang, ayang@moca.org.

Supporting MOCA in your Will

Consider supporting MOCA through a planned gift, which leaves a lasting legacy for you, the museum and the communities we serve for generations to come. Planned gifts offer numerous tax benefits and it’s as simple as including MOCA in your estate planning through bequests in your will or living trust, charitable annuities, or designating the museum as a beneficiary of retirement plan or life insurance policy.

For more information on planned giving at MOCA, please contact Colleen Russell Criste, ccriste@moca.org.

Gifts of Art

Gifts of Art can be donated to MOCA during your lifetime or by bequest in your will. If you are considering donating an artwork to the museum, please contact Asa Hursh (ahursh@moca.org or 323/400-2323).
